The Sheptytsky Institute, through the Faculty of Theology at Saint Paul University, can now offer fully-accredited Eastern Christian Studies courses off-campus via the University’s state of the art inter-active videoconferencing facilities. Students in remote locations can earn university credits towards ecclesiastical (pontifical) and civil degree programs, while participating in real time in classes held in Ottawa: with full access to visual material, the ability to ask questions and engage in classroom discussion.
Video-conference facilities using compatible technology found in other universities, conference centers and businesses across North America. The cost of renting or maintaining a local compatible site is, in most cases, the responsibility of applicants (groups of individuals or institutions). For information on courses and scheduling contact: The Sheptytsky Institute (email: sheptytsky@ustpaul.ca) Tel. (613) 236-1393 (Ext. 2332) Distance education requests for a particular course should be submitted at least four months before the opening of the semester in question, however, requests submitted at a later date will also be accommodated whenever possible. |
